JOB OPPORTUNITY! I'm hiring again.
I need a historian to help Colonial Williamsburg with its website, web strategy, and blog content, who can also help us vet the accuracy of our content. The role will also bring someone in on the ground floor as we re-imagine the museum for the digital age as we are building the world's largest virtual museum about early American history.
Salary Range: DM me.
Let me know if you have questions
I am also hiring a Videography/Video Editor.

@lizcovart what if I’m both an historian focusing on colonial Virginia and a professional videographer/editor?
I wish you great success fellow citizen Liz Covart, Ph.D.

@lizcovart Is this a remote position or does the person have to be in Williamsburg full time even if they do the work from home?
I'm interested.
@lizcovart I am 100% unqualified for this job, but all of a sudden I wish I was?
@lizcovart I'm not the person for this, but if you ever need help with that site from outside professionals I'd love to talk. I run a small web agency and I'm always looking for opportunities to work on projects where I'm also passionate about the subject matter. Makes the work so much more engaging!
@lizcovart Best of luck in finding the perfect match! I don't fit the bill as I'm a developer but not a historian but it definitely looked interesting!
@lizcovart You should post this on the Historybounding group on Facebook. You'd find the right person in a heartbeat.
@lizcovart nice job, sadly I do not qualify for 2 reasons.
Not in commuting range of Williamsburg by about 4,000 miles.
No PHD.
@lizcovart Shared with a friend on FB, whose name immediately popped into my head as read the description.
@lizcovart Is it a remote gig? I know someone who might be perfect, but is on the other side of the country.
@lizcovart Have passed on the link to my son who is an ABD historian, finishing up his dissertation in the next few months.
@lizcovart As a librarian/researcher/genealogy specialist webmaster for 11 years, and as a Virginian who could visit Colonial W'burg occasionally, I could totally do this job at home, without a PhD in history. How committed are you to that PhD thing? I blog as well.
@jillrhudy Most of the roles I'm hiring for do not require a PhD, this one does because we need someone with the historiographical training. We have new audio producer and video producer roles that will be posted later this week, if you are interested. I'd be happy to pass those along. A history and your researcher background would be helpful there.
