Anyone remember this? The last (latest?) WIP I put down and neglected for months.
I'm determined to start #knitting and crocheting with more intention. To that end I'm going to finally follow through on a temperature blanket, after thoroughly planning it out. Meanwhile I'll finish this blue monochrome afghan.
I'll probably end up giving this one to Mom. The double #crochet spike stitch it uses has quickly become my favorite for large projects, so I'll definitely be making more.
@AmyPetty I've never seen this stitch & I need to learn it! It's beautiful.
@Heidiknits Oh, it's very easy. It's called a "granny spike" stitch because it's worked into a stitch along the previous row, but it's just a standard double crochet. I was looking for something that made for a less open pattern because I wanted something thick and cozy for winter.
@AmyPetty Ooh, thanks! I appreciate the link.
@AmyPetty This looks great!
@Pufferfish Thank you! I wish I could get the colors to show up better. My header pic shows the blue tones more accurately but makes it brighter than it is - but this photo strips out a lot of the blue tones and makes one gray and the lightest one almost white.
@AmyPetty Yarn colors in photos is the biggest struggle! I’m constantly fiddling with what lighting I have and phone settings to send pictures of WIPs. Generally just give up and say, “It’s not as bright as this, imagine it more like <random cultural reference>.”
@AmyPetty Very nice!!!
@JoshuaSharp Thanks, Josh!
