The Menier Chocolat company was founded in 1816 as a pharmaceutical company in Paris when chocolate was used as medicine (many would argue it still is!) It was family-run until being acquired by Rowntree in 1971. The former Noisel factory later became Nestlé's French headquarters. This token is worth 20 Centimes.
