Pretty certain calling your kid 'Maverick' should trigger some kind of state intervention.

@garius Was reading about professional baby naming consultants only recently. On the downside it made me feel extremely old. On the upside brought back the joy of the pretend name list I was running while pregnant: Chlamydia, Urethra, Cystitis etc

@jo_the_hat there's an NPC in one of the trails games called Cystitia or something and every time we had to talk to her my wife would get the giggles.

@garius @jo_the_hat NPC names, the bane of every GM. I remember a set up for an In Nomine game (tl;dr - you play Angels and/or Demons).

Our GM walks in and sets the scene, clearly winging it a bit (no shade, we've all been there):

"Your superior summons you and starts to give you a briefing…"

"What's their name?"

"*visibly checks mental biblical names list* … uhh, 'Onan'… "

*snorted gales of laughter*… "What's he the Angel Of?"

We let him retcon that.

@ersatzmaus @garius @jo_the_hat The campaign that I'm currently running has a tavern named The Frog's Carcass because that's all I could think of at the time :)

@RPBook @garius @jo_the_hat Throw in some incidental ominous details of sacrificed/dissected frogs elsewhere and watch your players go ham on the relatively innocent innkeep.

@ersatzmaus @garius @jo_the_hat I hadn't thought of that, but to be honest it's not really that sort of campaign.
