Robert Rodriguez delivers! Finally watched MACHETE (2010) and MACHETE KILLS (2013), starring Danny Trejo as Machete.
These movies were all that I wanted them to be, especially MACHETE, which takes on cartels vs federales and portrays the humanity of the situation on the Texas-Mexico border.
The movies also star Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Robert de Niro, Stephen Seagal, and Charlie Sheen (here credited under his birth name, Carlos Estévez 
).
@eharlitzkern it’s crazy how on the nose Rodriguez got the immigration stuff and how fucking nuts conservatives turned out to be. He made that six years before 2016 and oh my God it was prophetic.
