I saw a physical therapist to start running again. He gave me a program to follow, and as I was "running" today, I was listening to Miike Snow's self titled album. What a blast from the past! The song "Sylvia" instantly transported me back in time: running through Central Park at night, stopping at Belvedere Castle, going up to the tower and looking out, listening to this song.
"When the lights go out, will there be a trace that I loved Sylvia?"

A reflection on a cold late winter night.
When I look at my mother these days, I see the smile that once belonged to my grandmother, because my mother is now the same age my grandmother was when I was a child. I also see my grandfather's expressions and walk.
When I look at my father, I see my grandfather's chin and neck, but my grandmother's expression and posture.

When I look in the mirror, I see a bit of all of them, and although time passes, marking my face, graying my beard and hair, and aging my skin, I know it will make me look more and more like them. And this makes the inevitable passage of time feel a little sweeter.

When I was a little girl, my adoptive mother kept her bobby pins in a little glass trinket dish w/ a fawn on the lid. It sat on the bathroom counter top the entire time I lived in my adopters’ house. I was madly in love with it. MADLY. Last week, I saw it on Poshmark. I burst into tears. Why??? I don’t know. But I bought it. & I bought some bobby pins to put in it. & I can sit & hold it in my lap as much as I want w/o anyone scolding me to put it back. 🥹 #Memories

Thinking about the time I saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Donny Osmond in the lead role when I was 8. (My parents had comp tix to a local production of it tonight and I declined the invitation because I doubted the new guy would live up to that (and of course he didn't, no offense to the dude).) That was the year they started taking me to plays; Les Mis was my 1st (and favorite). Which has me thinking about this:

I've typed this before, only to lose it all before it sent. Let's try again?

How good is your memory?
Can you remember things from when you were very young?

What were your teen years like?

This is going to take time, please be patient, as I take you through , just one more story.

I screen-grabbed maps and images to go with the story. But I'm missing photos from previous attempts

"If you want to be a convincing advisor, psychological research tells us that your observations/facts and rational arguments may have relatively little effect. You need to make sure your relation with the person you need to convince is as good as possible and the message is heard as often as possible."

Project helps Spain’s flood survivors restore family photos

‘When you realise how much you’ve lost, you can see that you’ve lost something fundamental, like visual memories,’ said one resident who survived the floods but lost all her possessions in an apartment in the town of Aldaia

The photography students have received 230,000 photos and 1,800 albums
