Don't get me wrong it's really fecking important to report what's going on in #Iran and cover #IranProtests, but as a #US-bound camera crew they stick out like a Pantomimé in Mogadishu...

  • Their chances would've been way better getting in contact with locals remotely and going out of their way to not request or collect any #PII whatsoever in order to not endanger anyone.

Similar to how one can't just interview people on the streets of #Pyongyang, everyone in #Tehran is rightfully afraid of repression...

Tomorrow sees the return of The Kali Mera show. Broadcasting live on the free and open internet from a shed somewhere in North Korea.

Kick off is at 5pm in Pyongyang time (8am UTC). Take a little trip back with Raasclart! inpc, digging deep into an extensive record collection, playing Jazz, Soul, Funk, Dub, Reggae, Indie, Hip Hop, Blues, Prog Rock, Electronica, old Rave, Jungle even the odd Pop tune, anything that tickles the fancy or floats a boat. According to #US. and #South_Korean officials, #Russian troops are receiving more and more weapons – on ships and trains. About 200 munitions factories in #North_Korea are operating at full capacity, and #Russia is sending fuel and equipment to support #Pyongyang's weapons production, #Seoul officials say.

#North_Korean missiles account for nearly one-third of #Russian ballistic missile launches at #Ukraine this year, other #Ukrainian officials say.

The artillery shells initially supplied by #North_Korea were a decade old. This raised suspicions that #Kim's regime was sending old stockpiles. But now #Pyongyang is supplying newer ammunition. For example, the 240-millimeter multiple launch missile systems sent to #Russia have recently been equipped with new guidance and control systems.

#Andrii_Kovalenko, head of #Ukraine's Centre for Countering Disinformation, says 60% of the artillery and mortar shells used by #Russia in #Ukraine now come from #Pyongyang. Military equipment, including multiple missile systems, is arriving in #Russia by rail, and rail transportation across the border has reached a record level.

Interesting to watch the streetlife in PyongYang in the second half of this video. Gives a good impression how the extremely privileged part of North Korea lives. It's good to remember PyongYang is a showcase for the regime, you need permission to live and work there etcetera. That's the reason it looks so unreal tidy and clean 😀
