Lots of folks rightly piling onto CNN and other outlets normalizing Trumps talk of "expansion."

Not the most important, perhaps, but the use of "expansion" to describe 19th C US imperialism and settler colonialism and 20th C overseas empire in US History classes seems a factor. US History teaching can normalize territorial aggression with abstractions, ex. "manifest destiny." 🗺️
