This Memorial Day, in my mind I am decorating the graves of all those who served with the Loudoun Independent Rangers during the Civil War, the only organized Union cavalry unit in Confederate Virginia. Many were quite young, felt they had little choice, and paid a steep price. They are not forgotten. #loudoun #CivilWar

Related, I am genuinely frightened by some of the truly rabid Confederate worship I've encountered since moving to the South. Not even the deep South.
