The GRU is also the likely culprit behind “Havana syndrome” or “anomalous health incidents,” attacks from a directed-energy weapon that have left hundreds of American diplomats and intelligence officers and their families—including children—with traumatic brain injury and other cognitive ailments. Had such attacks been carried out by al Qaeda, ISIS, or Hezbollah, the response would have been swift and severe. It's hard to understand why President Trump is ready to make deals with Vladimir Putin, when it is clear Putin has given his blessing for these and other operations that have led to American deaths.

Many Americans still imagine #rural communities as bastions of #tradition, where #marriage is widespread & #families w/lots of children abound. 25yrs ago, that would have been largely correct. No longer.

Research shows over the past 3 decades, women ages 15–44, marriage rates have fallen much faster for rural #women than their urban counterparts [who already broke the habit😉]. 1988–2018, the proportion of rural women who were married fell from 55% to 33%.

#Trump recently issued new guidelines for the #Transportation Dept, surprisingly prioritizing spending & #infrastructure for “communities w/ #marriage & #birth rates higher than the national average.” In other words, communities w/large #traditional #families. We know what you’re probably thinking: That means #rural & small town America—presumably Trump’s core constituency—will disproportionately benefit from these funds.

But you could very well be wrong.
