Good news! The local fabric store that I thought was shut down is actually open! The construction work I saw was done to improve the entire industrial/commercial row, with new stairs, decks, and accessibility ramps. Whew!

At the north end of the property, I took a look at a mural that I never saw before. It appears to be the latest from an artist who does corporate interior art, among other things. It’s called “The Gatekeeper” by Taylor Gallegos. #StreetArt #Mural #MendocinoCoast

A 12 foot by 14 foot warehouse door has been painted in orange and turquoise colors depicting an orangutan sitting on top of a post, with its back to the setting sun over the ocean. A distant bluff has a lighthouse with signal light in the deepening light. The orangutan is curled up closely to itself, suggesting the ocean wind blowing its hair forward is cold.

Construction workers began removing Washington, DC's #BLM Plaza mural on Monday, after Mayor Muriel Bowser pledged to redesign the plaza in response to #Trump & #Republicans threats to cut the city's transportation #funding unless it was renamed.
