This painting took me a year and a half to complete, because I had to take so many pauses to reflect as I painted. I talk about the importance of that challenge in this video showing the making of: https://gwennseemel.com/blog/2019/0224-clouds/

Do you know what's great about #collage and #mixedmedia? I can recycle my less-than-ideal drawings and almost nothing gets wasted. Here it's: pencil, acryllic paint, stickers, printouts, craft paper and probably some packaging or other papers.
I made it years ago, but only now am I sorting the scanned art from non-scanned and I'm scanning and putting it all into boxes. Must be the Spring.

I feel happy writing and talking about paints...
It's crazy, but there is a sensational aspect to painting beyond seeing a color. The experience of granulation, how a pigment feels on the brush and applies to paper. The flow or the lack of it in some cases. How colors mix and the effects they create.

It's why I love watercolor so dearly... and writing about it makes me just want to paint more.
