Me flipa copiar estilos para integrar cositas que se conviertan finalmente en algo transformado y mío. Y a veces, por el placer de hacer versiones de unos personajes en estilos de ilustración de otras artistas, y cosas así.

Este dibujo lo hice para el cartel del show de danza que hice inspirado en Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Ilustración en blanco y negro hecha con tinta sobre papel. Es una versión de Jolyne Cujoh, personaje del manga Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, junto a un stand que no es el suyo real, si no inventado. La pose es de Zoe Jakes, bailarina de tribal fusion bellydance, y en la ropa lleva joyas y detalles característicos de esta danza. Fue un diseño para el cartel del show de danza que hice inspirado en el universo Jojos.

They are drawn from the thighs up, all looking at the viewer in a sort of smugness save for Fei Long’s expression which is more determination or distrust. Jamie’s right hand holds up an hourglass shaped drinking gourd that is bound in red rope, similar to the ropes that hold up his yellow pants and act as drawstrings in his crop top yellow hoodie with white trim. His dark hair has a long protruding strand in the front, the sides shaved, and the rest is done up in a high braid that trails behind him. Minor Celebrity

This graphite pencil drawing ‘Sans Titre - 09-07-15 (Sold)’ depicts Sari Maritza, American actress and celebrity of the 1930s. My newest branch on the Sans Titre Series tree. It’s steadily growing now. Yesterday I made ‘Sans Titre - 08-07-15’ with Gloria Swanson in it. Of course you all heared about her for sure. Sari is less known though, I guess. Her movier carreer was short lived but that was her own choice I read. Best known for dancing a tango with Charlie Chaplin. That’s basically it. However, to me pictures of her portrait were enchanting and so was the reference photo for this one. A side-view of her pretty face.

Focus on the Head

So there it was, a great photo from the 1930s to interpret. In darkness she stands, holding a cup of tea or coffee, I don’t know. That was not something I wanted to draw as well. Instead, I decided to focus on the head only. The wavy hair locks were attractive enough. A beauty in its own right, only enforced by her aloof facial expression. A walk in the park for me.

Intuitions Spawns Lurid Abstraction

Often we as artists don’t know how to start an artwork. Sheer play I guess, except for the fact that we let our skills meet this play. It’s also about letting your intuition drive you. Many times in the past I experienced a painting or drawing only starts to make sense after its completion.

Finished the ceiling by adding another grated segment above the side displays, and then another light panel above the entrances. This dramatically increases the light levels on the room.

I've also added the small LCARS monitors on the aft stations.
